photo of the day

It has been such a strange and disappointing Spring here in Connecticut. There have been some days that were enticingly warm, others that were downright hot but most of all, chilly and/or rainy. The grass in our yard will be so high by the time the weather dries out that we may need a machete to hack it all down (ok, a little exaggeration here, but really, folks!)

I decided that the only way to make lemons out of the lemonade that seems to be falling constantly from the sky would be to change the way I look at things. So while some may see raindrops, I see jewel encrusted leaves. See them? Keep trying! Darn, not working for me either.

Ok, everyone, repeat after me: rain, rain. Go away. Come again some other day.

  1. I recently described my yard as a hayfield in a swamp. But a beautiful use of all that water in the above photo!

  2. Beautiful rain jewels!
