Photo of the Day (3rd Grade seder)

In a Waldorf school, the third grade curriculum includes a study of the Old Testament. The class celebrates several of the Jewish holidays, including Passover.  The class, along with several parents and the children of the 7th grade, held a Seder to celebrate. I took many pictures of the event, which I will post for the parents on my flickr site, but I thought I would post one of my favorites for this blog. In this picture, Lena (who has her head covered) lights the candle and helps Mrs. Kelleter lead the other girls in the opening blessing.

Here is my obligatory picture of spring flowers in my garden. My bleeding hearts are in bloom and I love that I can get so close to the heart shaped blossoms with my macro lens.
