Here are my dogs. Don’t they look pathetic and needy? Every time a door in our house opens my dogs think they need to go out. Then once they are out, they realize that everyone else is inside and so they think they need to come back in as well. Here they are on a perfectly lovely day thinking that they are missing out on something inside.

Did you know there are dinosaurs in Greenwich, CT? Well, here they are and they live right outside the entrance to the Bruce Museum.

The kids and I went there today to see if there was anything new going on since our last visit. Today was Open House CT day and most of Connecticut’s museums and attractions were offering free admission to Connecticut residents. What fun!

This fawn is part of a exhibit of local Connecticut wildlife. The kids and I love this room. The light changes from day to night and you can hear the sounds of the animals as they change as well. Today we spent a long time playing “I Spy” and seeing who could spot the most animals.

I didn’t take pictures of the exhibits in the museum. There was a photo exhibit currated by a local 8th grade class that I liked more for the comments and descriptions of the photos than the photos themselves. Some respectable photographers were represented but none of their best work. So I took a few shots of some of the sculptures on the grounds and pieces from their permanent exhibits.

After we finished at the museum the kids and I spent some time walking up and down Greenwich Avenue, the main shopping street in Greenwich. There is a Saks Fifth Avenue and a Tiffany’s there and many other chi-chi stores. It was Clare’s first taste of the “good life” and I think she liked it.

This is the dome of the Bank of America building. I would have taken more pictures in town but I wasn’t wearing the best walking shoes and my feet were killing me. Plus we only had a short time on the meter and I kept thinking we’d get a ticket. We got back to the car with 7 minutes to spare but I didn’t think that would be enough to warrant a trip inside another store and so we headed for home.
